Somatic Therapy
for Trauma, Burnout, and Nervous System Healing
I work with clients by educating them on the nervous system and how trauma impacts the way we think, feel, and respond. Together, we explore parts work — especially connecting with the inner child and developing the voice of an inner loving parent who is compassionate, supportive, and kind.
My role is not to “fix” something that’s wrong, but to help you build a better relationship with yourself. This work is about self-acceptance and permission to feel your emotions across the full spectrum. Many of us have learned to extinguish certain feelings because our culture, society, or caregivers saw them as inconvenient or wrong.
Through somatic therapy, we work to reintegrate these emotions, restoring emotional flexibility, resilience, and a deeper sense of wholeness. Whether you’re healing from trauma, navigating burnout, or seeking nervous system regulation, this process supports you in growing your capacity to take in all of life.

A Moment of Somatic Therapy
Take a glimpse into what it feels like to work with me. This clip is from a workshop where I guided a resourcing visualization— a tool I often use in therapy and breathwork sessions to help regulate the nervous system and build inner safety.
Services

Somatic therapy helps you tune into the wisdom of your body to process stress, heal from trauma, and find lasting emotional balance. In our work together, we’ll explore your nervous system responses—fight, flight, freeze, or fawn—and build tools for safety, self-trust, and connection. Available in person in Midtown Memphis and online across Tennessee. Learn more about therapy here.

Trauma can leave you feeling on edge, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. I use Somatic Experiencing®, mindfulness, and breathwork to help your body and mind move out of survival mode. We’ll work toward greater resilience, groundedness, and the ability to respond rather than react to life’s challenges.
-
Transformational Breathwork is a guided, intentional breathing practice that uses specific patterns to release stored tension, increase oxygen flow, and create shifts in physical, emotional, and mental well-being. In a safe, supportive space, breathwork can help you access deeper self-awareness, process unexpressed emotions, and connect with a greater sense of clarity and vitality. Learn more about breathwork here.

I offer experiential, trauma-informed trainings that teach therapists and helping professionals how to integrate somatic and body-based approaches into their work. Drawing from Somatic Experiencing®, mindfulness, breathwork, and nervous system education, these workshops provide practical tools you can use immediately with clients. Trainings are available for individuals, teams, and organizations online or in person. Click here to learn more.

Workshops are immersive self-care experiences designed to restore balance and connection with Self. In a warm, welcoming space (yes, incense and palo santo included), we blend meditation, breathwork, and somatic practices with group sharing and reflection. You’ll explore somatic techniques like pendulation where we move between challenges and gratitude to build resilience and reconnect with your body’s wisdom.
These sessions are offered in multiple formats:
For the public: Community-based gatherings to nurture inner child healing, nervous system regulation, and authentic connection.
For organizations: Corporate wellness experiences that support employee self-care, stress relief, and team resilience.
For therapists: Add-on experiential workshops that complement professional trainings with embodied practice.
Each workshop is a chance to pause, ground, and leave with practical tools for everyday life. Learn more about workshops here.

Why I do this work
My connection to the mind-body relationship has been threaded throughout my life. Growing up, I spent hours each week in ballet classes, experiencing first-hand how movement could shape not just the body, but the way we feel inside. In college, I fell in love with yoga and breathwork. My interest in mind-body practices progressed into Bikram, meditation, and kundalini where I experienced relief from anxiety and overwhelm in my body. These experiences opened new doorways into presence, grounding, and healing.
When I began my training as a therapist, I saw how traditional talk therapy often helped people understand their struggles but didn’t always touch the deeper layers held in the body. During my internship, I was introduced to somatic interventions, and they immediately resonated. It really felt like the missing piece I had been searching for. In my masters program, I developed the Mind-Body Research Team at University of Memphis where we wanted to research the affect of yoga on mental and physical health and wellbeing. Soon after, I discovered Somatic Experiencing® and began my SEP training.
I do this work because I believe healing isn’t about “fixing what’s wrong,” but about developing a kinder, more compassionate relationship with ourselves. The nervous system, our emotions, and parts of us long to be heard and hold wisdom. My role is to help people reconnect with that wisdom, restore flexibility in their nervous system, and experience a fuller range of being human with acceptance and wholeness.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to connect.
In addition to my therapy practice, I lead professional trainings and workshops for therapists, treatment teams, and organizations seeking to integrate somatic and body-based approaches into their work. My trainings combine experiential learning, nervous system education, and practical tools that participants can use immediately in their clinical practice.
